He humbled you by letting you hunger, then by feeding you with manna, with which neither you nor your ancestors were acquainted, in order to make you understand that one does not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of the LORD. Help the people of the Midwest and South to pick up the pieces of their lives, salvage what they can, bury the dead, celebrate the living and rebuild their homes, so they can sleep in peace again, and dream again, and awake to newness of life again, in Jesus Christ your Son, who rose from death to immortality that we might do the same.
